I just finished day 8 of my temperature blanket. It’s mostly light blue with one row of light green and one row of white. I can’t wait to see what it will turn out like at the end of the year.
I’m going out of town for a couple days. I’ll be back home Wednesday night. And of course I’m bringing my knitting. I won’t be bringing the temperature blanket because I don’t want to pack that many skeins of yarn to prepare for whatever temperatures might do while I’m away from home. I get Friday off though so I’ll just catch up then.
I’m going to go down to Bismarck on Saturday and donate some blood. It’s very important to me to donate blood when I can and how much I can. My mom used a lot of blood before she passed away. She used packed red cells and a lot of platelets. I feel it’s my duty to donate. I’m the universal donor blood type so I feel it’s even more important.
I encourage everyone I know to donate. You never know who’s life you might be saving. I’ve done many different types of donations. I’ve done whole blood, double red cell, platelets. The only thing I haven’t done is plasma and that’s because my plasma is basically useless. It’s my red cells and platelets they need. They are all easy and painless, platelets take some time but it’s time that can be spent reading a book. I promise you won’t regret it.
I’ll write about the whole experience including pictures on Saturday.
That’s it for today. Happy knitting.
